Following a year of big wins on the track and big prices in the sales ring, Kildangan Stud stallions Night Of Thunder and Blue Point have been given major covering fee increases for 2025.
Night Of Thunder's fee jumps from €100,000 to €150,000. The son of Dubawi is the sire of 2024 Group 1 winners Economics and Desert Flower, and his yearlings have made as much as €1 million at the recent European sales
Blue Point's first crop are only three years of age and they include Irish 2000 Guineas winner Rosallion, recent Ascot Group 1 sprint winner Kind Of Blue, Grade 1 winner Big Evs, and the filly Raqiya who won a Grade 3 race on the Breeders' Cup undercard on Saturday. A yearling filly by the Shamardal horse fetched €850,000 at the Goffs Orby Sale. His fee goes from €60,000 to €100,000.
Veteran sire Teofilo stays at €30,000 and Space Blues sticks at €16,000, while there are marginal reductions in the fees for Ghaiyyath (€20,000), Native Trail (€16,000), Earthlight (€12,500) and Naval Crown (€9,000). There is no change for Raven's Pass (€7,500).
Dubawi heads the Darley roster at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket and he remains on £350,000, though he will reportedly cover a smaller book next season. The big mover at this stallion station is Too Darn Hot, whose first crop have blossomed as three-year-olds this year. Fallen Angel gave him a first classic winner in the Irish 1000 Guineas and recent Group 1 winner Hotazhell promises to keep his sire's name in lights next season. His fee soars from £65,000 to £90,000.
Modern Games stays at £30,000 and the trio of Harry Angel, Iffraaj and Triple Time remain on £10,000. The fees have been trimmed for Palace Pier (£32,000), Pinatubo (£30,000), Cracksman (£12,500) and Perfect Power (£7,500).
