TATTERSALLS Online has landed a coup by attracting a Group 2-placed sprinter to the catalogue for Wednesday’s September Sale.

Mgheera, a four-year-old filly by Zoustar, is a listed winner as well as being Group 2-placed, and she finished in mid-division in Sunday’s Group 3 Prix du Petit Couvert at ParisLongchamp. Rated 107, she also holds an entry in the Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye on October 6th.

The filly, trained by Manon Scandella-Lacaille, has progressed from handicap company and finished third to subsequent dual Group 1 winner Bradsell earlier in the season.

There are 160 lots catalogued and they include a smart three-year-old French hurdler, a recent Irish two-year-old winner, and a breeding right to Phoenix Of Spain.

Pickland is the name of the French hurdler for sale. By Masterstroke, he won by 10 lengths on his most recent start.

Con Marnane’s Bansha House Stables is selling seven lots, headed by last Saturday’s Navan winner Actin Like A Diva. The two-year-old filly by Kuroshio defeated 15 rivals last weekend and she is from the family of Islington.

A breeding right to Irish National Stud stallion Phoenix Of Spain is likely to prove popular. Sire of Haatem, the son of Lope De Vega is currently sitting in sixth spot in the table of leading second crop sires in Europe.

The breeding stock on offer features the Whitsbury Manor Stud-consigned blacktype mare Biri’s Angel in foal to Sergei Prokofiev.

There are yearlings on offer by Too Darn Hot, Ardad, Nathaniel, Oasis Dream, Sergie Prokofiev, Starman and Supremacy.

There are six foals catalogued.

Bidding opens at 11am on Wednesday (18th) and closes at the earlier time of 11am on Thursday (19th).
