IRISH vendors dominate the catalogue for the Arqana Breeze Up Sale in May.

There are 207 two-year-olds engaged and Irish consignors include The Bloodstock Connection, Brown Island Stables, Derryconnor Stud, Gaybrook Lodge, Glending Stables, Greenhills Farm, Grove Stud, Knockanglass Stables, Longways Stables, Lynn Lodge Stud, Mocklershill, Powerstown Stud, Tally-Ho Stud and Yeomanstown Stud.

All horses catalogued are eligible for the Arqana Series, which consists of five races with a guaranteed total of €1.2 million in prize money.

Stallions represented in the catalogue include Dubawi, Frankel, Havana Grey, Lope De Vega, Sea The Stars, Siyouni and Wootton Bassett.

Potential top lots include a Frankel filly from Longways from the family of Group 1 winners Queen’s Trust, Domestic Spending and Thundering Nights. Bushypark Stables offers a son of Wootton Bassett from the close family of Occupandiste.

From Derryconnor Stud comes a son of Dubawi from the family of Planteur and Persian King, while Mocklershill consigns a son of Siyouni, the first foal out of a half-sister to Feed The Flame and Sacred Life.

First crop sires with horses for sale in Deauville include Earthlight, Ghaiyyath, Golden Horde, Hello Youmzain, Kameko, Pinatubo, Sottsass, Persian King and Wooded, together with second-crop sires Blue Point, Calyx, City Light, Sioux Nation, Ten Sovereigns and Too Darn Hot.

A wide range of American-based stallions are also represented in the catalogue, including Candy Ride, Gun Runner, Medaglia D’Oro, Not This Time, Quality Road, Uncle Mo and Justify.

The horses will breeze on May 9th from noon and be offered for sale on Saturday, May 11th from 11am.
