ATTENDANCE at the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) Irish Stallion Trail on January 14th-15th will be limited to breeders and those directly involved in the breeding industry.

It has been hoped to reopen the event to racing fans and members of the public, but numbers have now been reduced to protect public health and minimise risk to farms ahead of the covering season.

Visitors to studs will be asked to comply with a Covid-19 code of conduct developed by Horse Racing Ireland Health and Safety and available on the ITM website. There will be no indoor element to the Trail so visitors should dress for the weather.

The ITM Irish Stallion Trail is a completely free event. Visitors are simply asked to register which studs they intend to visit via the ITM website. Visitors are then free to visit their chosen studs at the time of their choosing within the studs’ advertised opening hours.

Those wishing to visit Coolmore Stud will have to select a specific time and they also be required to show a valid Covid certificate. Racing fans and members of the public who have already registered for the Trail will no longer be able to attend.
