GIGGINSTOWN House Stud have chosen Tattersalls Online to host their annual dispersal, which headlines the company’s August Sale on the 14th and 15th of the month. 172 lots marks the largest ever sale to be held on the online platform.

Eight horses who carried the maroon silks will be offered, including Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase winner Beacon Edge, who was last seen finishing fourth in a listed handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival.

Joining him is Galway Blazers third Flanking Maneuver, who was fourth to Idas Boy in the Midlands National on his penultimate start, with his stablemate also set to be offered online. Frontal Assault also boasts strong form this year, having finished fourth in the Irish Grand National, while he previously landed a Grade 3 as a novice hurdler.

Something for everyone

An intriguing consignment from Martyn Meade’s Manton Park Stud includes young sire Dubai Mile, who covered his first book of mares this season at a fee of £7,500. A Group 1 winner as a juvenile, the son of Roaring Lion will be offered alongside four broodmares, three of whom come with filly foals at foot.

Baroda Stud present three foals by Lucky Vega, whose first crop proved popular at last year’s foal sales, as well as broodmare prospect Useful, a Galileo daughter of Grade 1 heroine Nickname.

Other Irish consignors include Andrew McNamara, Gavin Cromwell, Gordon Elliott, Henry de Bromhead, Jessica Harrington, Joseph O’Brien, Meadowview Stables and Mountarmstrong Stud, amongst many others.
