AN own-sister to Alpinista features in the newly-unveiled catalogue for Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, which takes place from October 8th to 10th.

The daughter of Frankel is one of 448 lots catalogued, which marks a 16% reduction from last year’s catalogue. The 2023 renewal produced an average price of 243,977gns and median of 180,000gns, with seven yearlings selling for 1,000,000gns or more.

Last October’s offerings included Group 2-winning juvenile Whistlejacket, who was sold by Camas Park Stud to M.V. Magnier and White Birch Farm for 500,000gns. The son of No Nay Never will bid to become the sale’s fifth Group 1 winner of the year so far when lining up in today’s Group 1 Phoenix Stakes, for which he is currently favourite.
