THE latest chapter in the success story that is Khatela was written at Goodwood last weekend when the Richard Hannon trained Forgotten Wish won a maiden over six furlongs on her second start. Carrying the colours of Middleham Park Racing, this two-year-old daughter of Lilbourne Lad looks to be progressive and delighted her connections with the manner of her success.

Forgotten Wish was bred by Swordlestown Little, the breeding name of Des Leadon and Dr Mariann Klay which is situated not far from Punchestown racecourse. What makes the victory of Forgotten Wish even more special is that the couple also bred the sire and this winner is from the Rathbarry Stud stallion’s first crop of runners. This was his 11th individual winner.
