JAMIE CODD made his first visit to Sedgefield a winning one on Tuesday. The Irish champion rode Way Out West to victory in a maiden bumper for Co Antrim trainer Stuart Crawford.
The son of Westerner was a well-backed 4/6 favourite but had to be ridden strongly to win. Crawford said: “I was delighted Jamie came over to ride him. He is a very nice horse and I’d imagine now he will be sale.”
