CELEBRATING its 10th anniversary, the Cavan Elite Foal sale is set to take place next Thursday evening. The sale has grown in stature over the past decade, with last year’s top return of €35,000 equalling Ireland’s best foal price of 2021.
This year the renewal appears to offer one of its best catalogues to date, with a total of 29 extremely well-related lots. Both the sire and the dam lines are truly world class, with stallions such as Cornet Obolensky, Emerald Van’t Ruytershof and Diarado appearing in number.
Each lot is briefly previewed below, while the full pedigrees are detailed in the catalogue together with videos and photographs of the foal, the sire and in some cases, the dam as well as recognised relations. This is also available online where, through the same platform, bidders can bid remotely.
