ONLY in its seventh year, Clarecastle reaped the benefits of huge prize money on offer by attracting the largest numbers seen in broodmare and young horse classes this year.

“This is certainly the best turnout I’ve seen all year. I don’t think we’ve seen a broodmare class like this all year,” remarked Philip Scott who had travelled nationwide on Breeders’ Championship qualifier judging duty. “It just goes to show if there’s good prize money on offer, people will bring out their horses.”
