1.40 Tally Ho Stud Irish EBF Fillies Maiden 6f

A potentially fascinating contest with plenty of likely types lining up. A chance is taken on Olivia Maralda who comes from a yard whose juveniles are going nicely. She is a half-sister to an Italian listed winner and a Jersey Stakes second and sold very well at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale last month.

Zarinsk holds a Group 2 entry here next month and would look an obvious contender as a daughter of Kodiac out of a stakes-winning Arch mare. Never Ending Story, a daughter of Dubawi and a Belmont Oaks winner, is another to note.

SELECTION: OLIVIA MARALDA

Next best: Zarinsk

2.10 William Hill Acca Club Irish EBF Fillies

Elanora is worth siding with. She was only narrowly denied when trying to dominate a big-field handicap from the front over this course and distance earlier in the month and she posted another solid effort when third to Iva Batt at Naas five days later.

Poppy Petal turned in a much-improved effort to finish third to Drombeg Duke in a smart three-year-old handicap at Naas a couple of weeks ago. A similar showing should see her involved. The unexposed Pirate Jenny warrants respect and so too does the unexposed English import Dexter Belle.

SELECTION: ELANORA

Next best: Poppy Petal

3.10 Lanwades Stud Stakes (Group 2) 1m

Last year’s Matron Stakes second Pearls Galore should take all the beating. She made a pleasing and successful comeback over a mile at Leopardstown last month and the form of that race was franked when the runner-up Pretreville won the Group 3 Amethyst Stakes.

Pearls Galore boasts much the best form in this field and she can deal with Twilight Spinner who is upped to a mile for the first time following her win in the seven-furlong Group 3 Athasi Stakes at the start of the month.

SELECTION: PEARLS GALORE

Next best: Twilight Spinner

4.20 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Habitat Handicap 6f

Erosandpsyche might be able to make a winning debut for Paddy Twomey. He showed plenty of ability last season when he won twice over five furlongs at Tipperary and reached the frame in a five-furlong listed event at Cork won by Logo Hunter. He seems to handle most types of ground and has a decent draw and if coping with this trip he could go close.

Additional made a bright debut for his yard when chasing home Blairmayne in a handicap at Naas a month ago and can progress from that. A good showing from Verhoyen wouldn’t surprise while Midnight Fire is another to keep in mind.

SELECTION: EROSANDPSYCHE

Next best: Additional

4.50 William Hill Free Or 4 Spring Fillies Handicap 1m

A chance is taken on Albula. She looked a nice filly when winning a Naas maiden over this trip on her debut last August and she then finished second in the Group 3 Flame Of Tara Stakes before failing to run to her best in the Weld Stakes here in September.

She can see off the Dundalk listed winner Juncture who will find this much easier than the 1000 Guineas. The impressive Gowran maiden winner Miss Mirabell is another likely contender in her first handicap.

SELECTION: ALBULA

Next best: Juncture

5.20 William Hill Bet Boost Irish EBF Fillies

Maiden 1m 2f

Ark has first-time blinkers to aid her cause and might get off the mark on her third start of the season. This 81-rated filly ran a nice race from the front when third to Emily Dickinson at Naas last month and probably performed to a similar level in a Leopardstown maiden won by Female Soldier next time.

She is preferred to Selador whose career began with a second to the subsequently Group 3-placed Lily Pond at Dundalk last month.

SELECTION: ARK

Next best: Selador
