THE Slieve Bloom Stud in Co Laois sponsored Sunday’s young horse championships where the highest score of 80.60% was recorded by Co Kildare’s Sorrell Klatzko on Gladiator in the five-year-old Dressage Ireland national young horse test.

The home-bred Irish Sport Horse gelding is by the Trakehner stallion Sir Sansibar out of the Trakehner mare Blue Eyes (by Hohenstein). Jennifer Egan finished second on the Klatzko-bred Don Juan du Hus mare Don Juans Doll (77.60) with Kevin Acres again substituting for owner John Gavin on the third-placed Cobra gelding, Holywell Spark (74.20).
