PATRICK Turley took the wraps off a potentially smart prospect at Loughanmore on Saturday when Hartur D’Arc (93++) took apart his opposition in what visually was a very impressive performance. The time backed that up, with the son of Diamond Boy clocking a time that was nine seconds quicker than any other race on the card.

Three of the four horses that chased him home were also making their debuts, so the depth of the form will become clear in time, but it is quite rare to see a maiden on good ground at this venue being won by such considerable intervals.
