Arena eventing kicking off at Killossery

THE North Leinster Region of Eventing Ireland has joined forces with Killossery Lodge Stud to run an arena eventing league at the north Co Dublin equestrian centre on the last three Sundays of February with the final scheduled for Sunday, March 6th.

The league, which is jointly-sponsored by the locally based horsebox service and cleaning centre Gotu Trailers and Co Carlow’s Niall Smyth Equestrian Construction, will comprise a dressage phase after which riders will be given time to change tack, etc. before tackling the jumping phase.

The latter will start over show jumps before a mixture of knockable cross-country fences. There will be three classes with jumping heights of 70cms, 85cms and 1m.

The league is open to all riders but one must attend two qualifiers and the final to be in with a chance of claiming any of the €1,000 prize fund on March 6th.
