MATTHEW Kelly and Mister Ed are another multiple winning combination, but moving up a level landed their first victory in the EI 110 (J) ranks. A good dressage, followed by a double clear round saw the pair hold the top spot in front of Martha Dolan (Pay Back) and Eliza Kavanagh and Whitetree Sky in third.
Also, from Wexford and landing an impressive ninth win of the current campaign, Georgina Pettit is enjoying a purple patch that shows no sign of ending. Five of these have been gained on Ballyerk Black Beauty, the easy winner of the EI 110 (P). Although none of the top six show jumped clear, they enjoyed good spins in the country, with Philip Cole (Taylors Dicey Riley) taking second, from Maria Fouhy (Portlairge).
Pettit progressed to complete the day, with yet another win in the final EI 90P with Ballyerk Lover Boy, from Molly Egan with Jockeyhall Molly Brown.
Both the two EI 100 classes for ponies and juniors were well supported, and were also won from the front. Finishing a clear seven marks in front of Kate Gibbons (Milchem Mischief), Sarah Kehoe easily headed the former with the first season Connemara How Ya Sammy, while Co Galway’s Godfrey Gibbons landed the junior section with the six-year-old Milchem Miami, from Harriet Scott aboard Santiago Sky.
