LAST year’s junior European squad members Susan Shanahan and Eisfee clocked up their third win of the current campaign in the Kiltinan Castle EI 110 (J). Leading from the outset, despite the addition of time faults, Shanahan held the advantage over Godfrey Gibbons, who filled both second and third with Milchem Free Spirit and Milchem Miami.

Just three went to post in the Gain Feeds pony equivalent, with Gearoid Bolger and Whitethorn Honeys Rock delivering the sole double clear round.

Having moved back down a level, it was good to see Georgina Pettit back to winning form in the EI 110 (P). In her customary fashion, Pettit headed the dressage aboard Ballyerk Black Beauty, progressing to beat Andrew Walsh (Battlestown Delight) by 10 clear marks.

Having been knocking at the door all season, the new partnership of Abby Commiskey and MJ Cabinet won their first class together in the Bedmax Shavings EI 110 (J). With less than two marks separating the top six, this was a far tighter class, and when dressage leaders Grace Scully (Carric Pick and Mix) collected 20 penalties in the country, the win was there for the taking. Double-handed however, Scully compensated by moving into the runner-up spot with her second ride, Wolf Pack.

Georgina Pettit racked up a double in the EI 90 (P) with the consistent Ballyerk Lover. Having opted to remain in EI 90 (P) company, the pair were recording their fifth win of season, finishing three marks ahead of Eva Murray (Lough Fada Rudi).
