Voice Of Reason

(G.M. Lyons)

This Churchill gelding belied a starting price of 14/1 to finish a very encouraging third in a mile maiden won by Cairo last weekend.

He finished nicely from off the pace to be beaten by less than half a length and looks more than good enough to make his mark in a maiden this autumn.

Coralillo

(E. & P. Harty)

A winner on her debut during the summer, she bounced back from an unplaced run in the Ballyhane to finish a fine third to Treasure Trove in the Round Tower Stakes.

It possibly didn’t help her that she found herself somewhat isolated from the first two home in the closing stages but she indicated that she could win a stakes race this season.

Walking On Clouds

(P. Roche)

He has been holding his form well since scoring at Fairyhouse during the summer and his latest effort yielded a staying-on fifth in an apprentice handicap won by San Aer last weekend.

Another handicap success should be within his reach before the season draws to a close.

Sootability

(E.C. McCarthy)

This mare has yet to make an impact since coming to Ireland but she has run with credit on a couple of occasions and her fourth to Disco Boots on Monday was encouraging.

Admittedly she was beaten by just over 10 lengths, but this run represented a definite step in the right direction.

Vadiana

(T. Collins)

A half-sister to her trainer’s talented filly Girouette, this daughter of Vadamos made a heartening start to her career when beaten less than three lengths into fourth in a maiden won by Touching Clouds on Wednesday. A maiden success should be within her reach this year.
