LAST Saturday at Deauville, the three-year-old Attendu put two previous Group 1 winners firmly in their place when winning the seven-furlong Prix du Palais-Royal. The colt was one of five winners at the meeting for Maxime Guyon and they won the Group 3 race with something in hand.
Taking control inside the final furlong, Attendu beat Esoterique by two lengths and Territories was a further three away in third place. To be fair, the winner was racing for the third time this year while the runner-up and third were making their seasonal debuts.
