THERE was an Irish-trained runner in action on the Auteuil card last Saturday when the No Risk At All colt Dead Cert, ridden by Rachael Blackmore for Patrick and Willie Mullins was sent off favourite in the Prix Rush (Hurdle).
He was pushed along before two out, and made a mistake when beaten and fell at the last as victory went to the Irish-bred three-year-old entire The Mighty Celt, in the colours of Mrs Sue Magnier.
He ran out a four-length winner under James Reveley from Precious Man in the field of 14 three-year-olds. Trained by Noel George & Amanda Zetterholm, he is the second Irish-bred colt out of a French-bred dam by Walk In The Park to win over hurdles in France, in the Magnier colours, this spring following Wild Bill Hickok winning a maiden hurdle at Compiegne on March 4th.
The intention is to establish sons of the leading National Hunt sire as a jumps sires themselves.
