1.50 Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle 2m 160yds

Trainer Ross O’Sullivan can cap a fantastic week with the 10-year-old Bythesametoken. A staying-on third off an identical mark in last year’s renewal of this race, the gelding has improved subsequently to be rated 10lb higher over fences. The son of Fame And Glory has almost certainly been laid out for a repeat bid under Tom Harney.

Morricone won twice in deep winter ground, before running really well when fifth in a big field at the Punchestown Festival. If the forecast rain arrives, it will suit the Ray Hackett-trained seven-year-old more than most.

SELECTION: BYTHESAMETOKEN

Next best: Morricone

2.20 Kenny Galway Handicap Hurdle 3m 60yds

Well supported when runner-up here earlier in the week, Sea Music can go one better for trainer Emmet Mullins. Always prominent on that occasion, the six-year-old jumped and travelled well but had no answer to a well-treated rival from the back of the last flight. Stepping up in trip here should suit the former point-to-pointer.

Dorans Law is an interesting contender on his first start for Philip Rothwell. The gelding gives the impression that he requires a proper test of stamina and first-time cheekpieces should help him settle.

SELECTION: SEA MUSIC

Hurricane Georgie has a bit to find at these weights but did best of a quartet who ran in the Plate here on Wednesday. Having finished a respectable seventh on that occasion, the mare can confirm placings with those that finished behind. The daughter of Court Cave had also run well at this festival last year so has no issues handling the track.

Having got no further than the first fence in the Plate, Janidil should be fresher than a few of these. However, the Willie Mullins-trained 10-year-old hadn’t been in the best of form going into that race.

SELECTION: HURRICANE GEORGIE

Next best: Janidil

3.30 Lord Hemphill Memorial Handicap Chase 2m 2f 54yds

Runner-up in this race 12 months ago, the Michael Mulvany-trained Barnacullia can take the main prize now. The seven-year-old, who has most likely had this as a target for some time, warmed up with a prep run on the level earlier in the week. Having done likewise last year, that blow out should have put him right for this return to chasing.

The Big Chap is another that connections would have aimed at Galway for some time. A better horse going right-handed, the Paul Flynn-trained gelding showed up well in some decent handicap chases over the winter.

SELECTION: BARNACULLIA

4.00 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Ahonoora Handicap 7f

Earls, who never saw daylight when down the field in the big handicap here on Tuesday evening, can get much closer. Dropped in from his wide draw, the Gavin Cromwell-trained seven-year-old had to wait for a run until early in the straight but found the gaps closing wherever he went. With a much more favourable berth in stall five now, the Dream Ahead gelding can get involved.

No More Porter, runner-up in the Mile last year, was balloted out of that race earlier in the week. If anything, the Ado McGuinness-trained six-year-old should be better suited to dropping back a furlong here.

SELECTION: EARLS

Next best: No More Porter

4.30 Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden 7f

Recent Leopardstown fourth Green Brothers should have improved sufficiently from that initial experience to get involved. A son of Gleneagles, the colt was outpaced over a furlong but kept on well late. While the juvenile probably needs a step up in trip, the stiff track here should play to his strengths. Drawn in stall 13 isn’t ideal but his previous experience should enable him to break on terms.

Right And True needs to step up on his sole run to date but the Aidan O’Brien- trained two-year-olds have been on fire all week. A Group 2 entry suggests that the son of Arizona is capable of a lot better.

SELECTION: GREEN BROTHERS

Next best: Right And True

5.00 Village Salthill Handicap 1m 73yds

With the form of her recent Gowran Park win having worked out exceptionally well, the Dermot Weld-trained Tachos looks nicely handicapped. Given that the next three home all won subsequently, a 5lb rise seems very lenient in the circumstances. Although no longer the force of old around here, her trainer is still a man to be feared and this is sure to have been the plan since her win.

Billy Lee replaces a promising 10lb apprentice on Limerick runner-up Apollo Prince. With a favourable draw in the middle, the Harty-trained Kodiac gelding should be able to get involved.

SELECTION: TACHOS

Next best: Apollo Prince

(Pro/Am) Flat Race 2m

Although appearing to be the Willie Mullins’ second string on jockey bookings, Portcammon can take the final race of the festival.

A winner at Roscommon last August, the five-year-old has been off the track since then but fitness is never a concern with horses from his yard. With the bare form of that win working out nicely, he should have strong claims in this 10-runner affair.

Dual bumper winner The Passing Wife has to concede weight all round but should still be competitive.

Gavin Cromwell’s five-year-old has that winning mentality, which should stand to him here.

SELECTION: PORTCAMMOM
