DESPITE weather of biblical proportions, day one at Goresbridge kicked off strongly. The trade for the ponies and older stock was lively from the get-go, and by close of play late into Wednesday evening, six horses realised five-figure returns.

The mixed catalogue produced a healthy average of €5,432 (horses) and €3,969 (ponies) together with an equally stout clearance of 75% (no 2020 equivalent sale) and a daily turnover of €516,950.
