THE National Learning Network in Sligo offers a fantastic Level 4 course in Horsemanship. We work through a combination of yard-based learning for our equine modules and classroom-based learning for additional modules geared towards personal and professional development.

Our yard-based modules cover all aspects of basic horse care and stable management, along with horse riding lessons. Our students are also given the opportunity to undertake certification through the BHS Ride Safe programme, and First Aid training.

At NLN we teach differently - we approach learning with wellness. We have a flexible student-centred approach which enables the students to untap their potential at their own pace in a supportive and encouraging environment.

We have small class sizes and access to a range of student supports. We have continuous intake so new students can start at any time of the year.

Our training courses are free and students maintain any social welfare payments they may be entitled to.

We cater for students who face a barrier to employment - this can range for example from a person having had an accident or illness, additional support needs, a set-back in life or a disability.

No previous experience with horses is required, all levels of experience are very welcome! Please get in touch if you would like further information, phone 086-6073158 or email Joanna.Kearns@nln.ie
