Esther Skelly-Smith's Shep - The rescue Collie. "Shep was rescued from SPCA in Wexford at 1.5 years of age after multiple homes. He came to live with us at Shanaghan Hill Farm and now loves cuddles on the sofa after a busy day helping with the sheep."

It looks like it’s not just horses that our readers are mad about! We’ve been inundated with your dog photographs and although sadly we can’t share them all, we are delighted to showcase a selection of the best in our Pooch Portrait gallery.

Picking an overall winner was incredibly tough for our judge Domhnall Dervan but we all agree he’s selected a worthy winner.
