JESSICA Harrington, Willie Mullins, Dermot Weld and Pat Downes will give their views on racing fillies and mares at a one-hour talk before racing at the Curragh on Sunday, July 21st.

Organised by the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association and chaired by Leo Powell, the seminar is entitled ‘The Importance of Fillies in Breeding & Racing’ and will focus on the importance of the broodmare and the benefits of producing from fillies with form.

The seminar will be followed by the South Leinster Breeders’ Recognition Awards for 2023, covering both flat and National Hunt.

The event will also provide breeders and attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with industry stakeholders throughout the day.

Doors open at 11.30am and the seminar will commence at noon sharp. Attendees are advised to arrive early to avail of this networking opportunity.

Admission is free for members of the ITBA, AIRO and IRTA but advance registration is essential. Non-members can attend for just €10 and this includes raceday admission, racecard plus refreshments which will be offered to all those attending.
