WHILE Friday’s five-star 1.50m jump-off class in Doha didn’t see any Irish riders, the Irish Sport Horse DPS Revere (by Hermes De Reve (SF), out of Celerina (AEAS) by Cento (HOLST)), a 12-year-old grey gelding bred by Dara O’Malley in Co Galway, took third place in the hands of German rider Marcus Ehning, when they jumped double clear in a jump-off time of 37.12 seconds.

The class was won by another German, Hans-Dieter Dreher on Vestmalle des Cotis, whose time of 35.13 proved unbeatable.
