CO Clare show jumper Eoin McMahon beat a huge field of 82 starters to win a four-star class in Poznan, Poland, last weekend.

The 23-year-old, who is based at Ludger Beerbaum’s German yard, guided the 10-year-old gelding Nabab’s Atlanto (Nabab de Reve x Almeo) to victory in Friday’s 1.50m jump-off. Some 13 combinations made it through to the jump-off, and with nine producing a second clear against the clock, McMahon’s time of 35.90 was good enough to earn him the top spot and €5,655.
