THE Six-Bar class at the five-star show in Madrid, Spain, saw another great result for Irish breeders on Friday night, with Irish-bred horses taking first, second and third placings!

The class was won by EIC Cooley Jump The Q (ISH) ridden by Austria’s Max Kühner, who were the only combination who jumped clear in all four rounds. This 10-year-old gelding, previously known as Pacino Q and Cooley Jump The Q, is by Pacino (BWP) out of Jump The Q (ISH) by OBOS Quality 004 (OLD). He was bred by Pam Walshe.

The runner-up spot went to Fernhill Balou Beau (ISH), ridden by Portugal’s Duarte Seabra. This nine-year-old gelding is by Sligo Candy Boy (ISH) out of Miss Mac Car (ISH) by Cavalier Royale (HOLST). He was bred by Donald Clarke and is owned by Carol Gee.

Harry Allen on Calculatus were fourth in a 1.50m class at the IFEMA Madrid Horse Week \ IFEMA Madrid Horse Week

DPS Revere (ISH), ridden by Germany’s Marcus Ehning, placed third and is a 10-year-old gelding by Hermes De Reve (Be) (SF) out of Celerina (AEAS) by Cento (HOLST). He was bred by Dara O’Malley. Also in Madrid, Harry Allen and nine-year-old gelding Calculatus came fourth in their five-star 1.50m class on Friday.
