COEN Williams made his trip to Vejer de la Frontera worthwhile, when winning Friday’s two-star 1.40m two-phase special class with Philly Fogarty. There were 29 starters in the class, with 15 remaining fault-free throughout the two rounds. Williams was the fastest of these in a time of 21.87 seconds, with runner-up Jens Baackmann (GER) on the Irish Sport Horse ABC Saving Grace almost a second behind in 22.73.

Williams and Philly Fogarty secured another podium finish on Saturday, when third in the 1.45m two-phase class. Just 13 combinations started the class, with six of them jumping clear to get into phase two. Five managed a second clear round, with Williams finishing in the middle of these in a time of 27.81 for third place. The class was won by Felipe Ramos Guinato (BRA) on Garota de Ipanema MC (27.02).
