THERE is a lot happening at Branch level throughout Area 17 of The Pony Club (Northern Ireland) but next Saturday, June 25th, members’ attention will be focussed on the Laurelview Equestrian Centre, Templepatrick where the East Antrim Branch is hosting the Area’s dressage qualifier.

The Open, Intermediate and Novice classes are qualifiers for the JCB Pony Club Championships in Offchurch Bury, Warwickshire in August (12th to 20th) while the Grassroots competition is a qualifier for the Regional Championships at Auchlishie Eventing near Angus earlier that month.

Members – and parents/guardians – are going to have a busy few weeks as the Area qualifiers in eventing, show jumping and Tetrathlon take place on Sunday, July 3rd (at Laurelview), Saturday, July 9th (at The Meadows) and Saturday and Sunday, July 30th and 31st, at Dirraw Farm.

On Friday next, June 24th, the Iveagh Branch’s grounds at Moyallon, Portadown is the venue for Area 17’s qualifier for the combined training championships at the Dublin Horse Show in August.
