MADAM,

I ATTENDED the Maryland Horses Industry Board networking luncheon event held in Punchestown on Wednesday, June 23rd and at the Maryland Governor, Larry Hogan, reception at the Fitzwilliam Hotel on Thursday, June 24th and I was not disappointed. Being in America for the last 20 years, I was encouraged by the strong showing of the Irish horses from my homeland. As owner of Parkmore supplements/Parkmore Irish Horse Imports, this was a great event for me. I was lucky to be over with my brother Gordon Bryan of Bryan Equine and with clients, viewing horses with our Irish partners, Brendan and Diarmuid of horsesales.ie.

That Wednesday in Punchestown was a great networking event. Most of all it had a friendly welcoming atmosphere that Ireland is well known for. The Traditional Irish Horse Association put on a display that demonstrated the qualities that makes the Irish horse so sought after in America.

In the Fitzwilliam Hotel, we got a chance to meet with the Maryland Horse Industry Board, we were able to chat to them one by one, as well as meeting Governor Larry Hogan who has a great interest in the equine industry in Maryland.

All this would not have been possible if it wasn’t for Chris Ryan (TIHA vice chair) and Frances Horgan (TIHA secretary) who helped organised both events. This is a great little country and people like Chris, Frances Horgan, Denis Duggan from Horse Sport Ireland and the riders Edward Doyle, Sam Watson, Joseph Murphy, Sarah Wardell, Hannah Lardy and Ben and Alex Connors really put our best foot forward.

I, Gordon and our Irish partners, Brendan and Diarmuid of horsesales.ie, would like to thank Chris and Frances for asking us to attend.

Yours etc, Fleur Bryan,
