ANOTHER fine Listowel Festival for the Willie Mullins yard yielded a second feature race triumph in five days as Rebellito produced his best effort since coming to Ireland in the mile-and-a-half Listowel Printing Works Handicap.

In six starts spread over almost two years the Susannah Ricci-owned gelding had failed to win for Mullins. However, he has shown promise on occasion and wasn’t beaten all that far when midfield behind Ever Present in a Champions Weekend handicap less than two weeks previously. Ronan Whelan was once again aboard the grey whom he produced to lead with over a furlong to run. Once the 11/1 shot got to the front he stuck to his task well to finish a length and a quarter ahead of Yafordadoe.
