IT was good to see Mark O’Hare land the mares’ maiden at Farmacaffley last Saturday on the George Stewart-trained Ringneill as this is the fourth decade in which he has ridden a winner.

This feat was also achieved during his career in the saddle by Newry trainer Liam Lennon who actually gave Mark his first taste of success between the flags when saddling Cinder’s Slipper to win the older mares’ maiden over the undulating North Down track at Comber on April 6th, 1999.
