WHAT a weekend it was for Sarah Dawson’s small dual-purpose yard outside Banbridge. On Friday evening at Down Royal, Belfast owners Peter and Clare Passmore were celebrating following the success of their Born To Sea colt, Magic Sea, in the West Coast Cooler Nursery over seven furlongs.

The bay, who won by a nose at odds of 20/1 under Danny Sheehy, was purchased by Sarah for just €11,000 at last year’s Tattersalls September Sale. He is a half-brother to the Listed-placed nine-time winner Magic City (by Elusive City).
