CAVAN’S Camryn Clarke rode his mother Victoria’s Conte de Reve (Hermes de Reve x Conto), bred by Noleen Kiernan, to victory in the 1.35m international jump-off on Sunday.

Just nine of the 46 starters managed a clear first round to progress to the timed jump-off. Clarke was fastest of these, crossing the finish in a time of 38.06 for the win. Shane Moloney came closest to catching him aboard Sarah Riley’s Caltra Classic (Sligo Candy Boy x Cult Hero). Bred by Seamus Cawley, they stopped the clock at 38.12.

Dylan Ward and Quality Sport Horses’ Kruser DHH (Harley x Carolus II) finished third in 38.42. Lt Raphael Lee rode the Minister for Defence’s Killossery Kilshane (Peppermill x Cruising), bred by Laura Glynn, into fourth, while Francis Connors and Raymond McChesney’s RNH Valentino (Van Gogh x Beach Ball), bred by Norman Hammond, took fifth.

Sixth place went to Annabel Shields riding Julie Cass’ stallion Lapstan (O.B.O.S. Quality 004 x Lancelot), bred by Peter G Brady.
