THE Goresbridge animal feeds firm Connolly’s Red Mills were strong supporters of last week’s Millstreet International Horse Trials, sponsoring three classes under their equine brands – Connolly’s Red Mills CCI4*-S, Foran Equine CCI3*-S and Carr & Day & Martin CCI1*-Intro.
The company also sponsored turn-out prizes for the three long format classes and leaving the Co Cork venue with Carr & Day & Martin products were two New Zealand internationals, England-based Virginia Thompson, who won the award with Gladstone (CCI4*-L) and Ireland-based Amanda Goldsbury who won with Fernhill Inspector (CCI3*-L). The CCI2*-L turnout winner was Ireland’s Jonny Steele with the home-bred Centre Stage mare, R Kid.
The winners of the four- and three-star turnout awards were selected by Connolly’s Red Mills Head of Marketing, Jane Davis, and her sister Caroline who also works at the Co Kilkenny firm. As Jane was judging show horses in Belgooly on Saturday, Connolly’s Red Mills was represented at the prize-giving for the CCI4*-S by their three-brand ambassador Gillian Beale King but Davis was back at Millstreet for the final day of competition on Sunday.
This weekend, Connolly’s Red Mills continues its sponsorship of Showing Ireland’s champion of champions series at Ballivor Show.
