IT was a British one-two in the penultimate international class in Mullingar on Monday, the Kevin Mealiff and Darragh Kenny-sponsored 1.30m two-phase.

First place went to the Mary McCann-bred mare Clovalent (Valent x Cruising) with Nicole Kershaw aboard, they posted a second-round time of 29.45 to secure the win.

Runner-up was fellow Briton Alicia Page riding her own French-bred mare Uliveka de Breve in 29.56.

Ireland’s Katie McEntee took third place with Stephex Stables’ Swedish-bred Hip Girl in 29.58, while fourth was Cian Harrisson with the ever-consistent Tabby in 29.31.

Meath’s John Floody and Donevan Erkindale were in fifth place while Athlone’s Francis Derwin Jnr and Killerisk Can Ya completed the line-up in sixth place.
