Quiz winners announced

Dublin Racing Festival preview
THE Irish Field, supported by Tote, is hosting a live preview of the Dublin Racing Festival at 6.30pm on Friday, January 31st in JR Mahon’s, 1-2 Burgh Quay (right beside O’Connell Bridge), in Dublin city centre. The panel consists of Mark Boylan, Danny Mullins, Amy Lynam and Jamie Codd. Reynolds fourth in National Grand Prix
IRISH Olympian Judy Reynolds opened her 2025 season in impressive fashion last weekend, scoring 69.940% with the 14-year-old Fuerstenball Old gelding For Fun 51 for fourth place in the CDN Grand Prix in Münster, Germany. Reynolds placed ninth in the Grand Prix Special class completing on 69.569% with For Fun 51 (‘Fritzi’) at the Agravis-Cup show in the Halle Münsterland.
Eventing Ireland workshop
EVENTING Ireland is running a ‘Future-Proofing Eventing’ workshop. The event will take place on Saturday, February 8th in Punchestown Racecourse. IN a change of date, the AGM of the Traditional Irish Horse Association will now take place on Sunday, February 9th at 2.30pm in the Maldron Hotel, Portlaoise. All are welcome to attend.
Paralympic dressage horse for sale
IRISH Paralympic dressage rider Jessica McKenna’s Paris ride Davidoff 188 is up for sale. McKenna and the 16.2hh 2010 gelding competed for Team Ireland in the Grade III Individual at Paris, securing 10th place with 65.033%. This horse was fifth and seventh at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA, in 2018, and seventh in the individual test and the Freestyle at the Paralympic games in Tokyo 2021, all with former rider Caroline Cecilie Nielsen (DEN). With McKenna, he also came sixth in the freestyle at the European Championships in Riesenbeck in 2023. Marketed by McKenna’s trainer Elder Klatzko, he is described as having been trained to PSG level. “He is a pleasure to compete and loves to show off in the arena,” Klatzko wrote of him.
Horses and human health symposium
ON Monday, March 10th, Horse Knowing in collaboration with Horse Sport Ireland is running it’s inaugural symposium titled ‘The Evolving Role of Horses For Human Health’. The event will take place at the Clonshire Equestrian Centre, Co Limerick. The all-Ireland symposium will feature a number of interactive demonstrations with equine-assisted practitioners from across the country. A selection of speakers will also present on some of the equine-assisted training and opportunities currently available.
