HORSE Sport Ireland published details this week regarding the 2022 dressage autumn development series which is being run as a league with four qualifying legs and a final.

The series is open to horses and ponies that are Irish-bred as documented on their passport or registered in a Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine-approved studbook. Horse/pony and rider must be registered with Dressage Ireland.

A minimum of two appearances is required at the qualifiers, with minimum scores of 63% in both, to be eligible to attend the final where prize money will be available across the league for four-, five-, and six- and seven-year-olds. There will also be breeders’ prizes on offer.

Qualifiers

The first qualifier is scheduled to take place at Marlton Equestrian Centre, Co Wicklow on Sunday, October 23rd. This will be followed by three further Sunday fixtures – at Ower EC, Co Galway on October 30th, at CoilÓg Equestrian, Co Kildare on November 6th and at Ballindenisk, Co Cork on November 13th.

The final will take place at Greenogue Equestrian, Co Dublin on Sunday, November 20th.

The Eastern Region of Dressage Ireland is holding a show at Marlton tomorrow, Sunday, while CoilÓg is the venue for a Leinster Region show next Sunday, October 16th.
