THE Godolphin-owned trio of Coroebus, Native Trail and Yibir are the only European-trained horses among the world’s top 21 at the moment, according to the latest update to the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.

Sharing first place on the list are North American middle-distance star Life Is Good and Australian sprinter Nature Strip, both rated 124. The USA accounts for seven of the top 21 horses. Australia has five and Japan has three. There is one each from Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.

Coroebus shares his rating of 121 with three American horses - Country Grammer, Golden Pal and Jackie’s Warrior - plus Japanese horse Titleholder.
