Dundalk moved to Monday

THE Friday fixture at Dundalk Stadium which was cancelled this week due to bad weather will take place on Monday, starting at 4.45pm. Fresh declarations are required by 10am on Saturday.

Listed winner added to sale

SOME 14 supplementary lots have been added to the Goffs February Sale, which takes place on February 5th and 6th.

As with the now 400-strong catalogue, the new additions include a mixture of weanlings, horses in training and broodmares, of both the flat and National Hunt variety. They include Willie Mullins’ listed-winning Jet Away mare Space Tourist, a Doctor Dino half-sister to last season’s Grade 1-winning novice hurdle Readin Tommy Wrong, and a winning sister to Group 1 winner Naaqoos.

Elliott winner sold to France

A WINNER at Ayr last Monday for trainer Gordon Elliott, the six-year-old Undeniable Alibi was sold online for £32,000 this week and will join Noel George and Amanda Zetterholm’s French-based operation. The winning bid was placed on the ThoroughBid platform.

ThoroughBid’s next sale will take place on February 27th.

Breeder of Month winner

GERARD P. Flynn from Dungarvan has won the Connolly’s Red Mills The Irish Field Breeder of the Month competition for December. He bred Potters Charm, winner of the Grade 1 Formby Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree.
