KILDALTON Collage is hosting a very special celebration on Saturday, June 25th in honour of their 50 years in education. The College is hosting a family open day and everyone is invited to enjoy a walk around the facilities and view all the various demonstrations in Equine, Agriculture and Horticulture, all free of charge from 11am – 4pm.

There is lots to see and do for all ages with plenty of parking and you can eat at Q Cafe or any of the artisan stands on site.

What’s happening on the day:

• Historical talks in the main house

• Sheep shearing demonstrations

• Tractor driving competitions

• Fencing demonstrations

• Various walks and talks around the horticulture unit

• Kids corner with a scavenger hunt, colouring competition, creepy crawley crop walk, kids train around the college

The equine unit Demonstrations schedule:

Dressage: Rosemary Gaffney and Emily Kate Robinson from 11.00 – 12.00

Side saddle: Faith Ponsonby and her riders from 12.00 – 13.00

Show jumping: Comdt Geoff Curran from 13.30 – 15.30

Arena Eventing: Kate Solon, Ruth Burke and Niamh Kirwin from 14.30 – 15.30pm.

Take a ride on ‘Sammy’ - Kildalton's new riding simulator - and visit the College's native breeds corner with their Irish Draught mare and foal, Connemara pony mare and foal and a Kerry bog pony mare and foal.
