KILLUSTY Pony Show, situated at the foot of Slievenamon, Co Tipperary, will host its 60th anniversary show on Saturday, July 1st and all are most welcome to come along for this very special occasion.

With 100 classes on the day, there is truly something to suit all levels of horses and ponies, as well as your furry canine friend.

Preparations are in full swing over the last year, especially for the working hunter track. New additions this year include the small hunter championship from qualified shows as well as a very exciting working hunter derby course, the racehorse to riding horse class, side saddle class, and an overall Supreme Champion title up for grabs.

There will be the popular children’s novelty jumping classes, fancy dress as well as a dog show, so there is great fun and entertainment to be enjoyed by all.

Horse Sport Ireland and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine have also supported some of the classes via their breeding grant, very exciting additions to the busy schedule on show day.

Throughout the history of the show, sponsors have been extremely generous and without them, Killusty Pony Show would not exist.

Insurance gratitude

In return, all sponsors are most welcome to enjoy lunch on show day as an acknowledgement of the committee’s gratitude.

As a show, Killusty Pony Show receives no grants or other incentives and greatly appreciate the IPS insurance, without which the show could not go ahead.

If you haven’t been to Killusty before, make a date to attend this year’s show on Saturday, July 1st - you might just see the next HOYS or RDS Champion making a debut at Killusty, as have many before.

Entries can be made via an online booking system or traditional postal entries.
