THE popular Kingdom County Fair returns to a two-day format for 2023, it was announced this week.

The chairman and PRO of the Kingdom County Fair, James Tarrant, confirmed that this year’s show will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 6th and May 7th. This decision was taken as a response to the phenomenal success of the show in 2022.

Last year saw the show held on grounds owned by the committee. These grounds were bought over 30 years ago and have now become the permanent home of the agricultural show.

“We were truly blown away by the success of last year’s show when the crowds were the biggest ever witnessed at the show. We are optimistic for the future as there appears to be a great appetite for this show and many other agricultural shows the length and breadth of the country.

“We have a small, enthusiastic, hard working committee and we work closely with some of the other shows in the county, Dingle, Killorglin, etc. We help them and they return the help when we host our show. We also, of course, have a large range of loyal sponsors, big and small, some of whom have been with us for many years. We couldn’t do it without them. Horse Sport Ireland also helped greatly with financial support and encouragement with the move to our new venue. We greatly appreciate their help. We look forward to the future with great optimism,” said Tarrant.
