A PROSPECTIVE sale of Ingabelle Stakes winner Kitty Rose has fallen through, Natalia Lupini has told The Irish Field.

Speaking at the races last week, Lupini had indicated that the daughter of Invincible Army was in the process of being sold to new owners, but that she would be staying in the yard.

“We just found this week that the buyer has dropped out,” the Down-based trainer said. “The filly had passed the vetting for the sale but when it came to payment, the potential buyer dropped out at the last minute. It was unfortunate, and it left a bit of a sour taste for the owners but they know they have a very valuable filly with a lot of potential.

“It was a bit unfortunate for us as well, as we thought we may be able to keep the filly in training here, but it’s all up a bit in the air at the moment.”

Kitty Rose is owned Nigel O’Hare, Gary Devlin and the Kabin Racing Syndicate. She was bought privately from Robson Aguiar and presumably enhanced her value significantly with two impressive wins from her two starts this term.

“The owners are thinking of putting her in the Goffs British Champions Day Sale at Ascot but nothing has been decided yet.”
