THE Olympic appeal reported in last week’s Irish Horse World has been “resolved amicably”.

A statement from Horse Sport Ireland (HSI), which confirmed it was in relation to the eventing nominees for Paris, said: “Horse Sport Ireland has confirmed that an Olympic nomination appeal has concluded with an amicable resolution after the matter was remitted back to the eventing High Performance Director. That process has now finished, and the appeal resolved amicably.”

The three selected combinations, listed in alphabetical order, nominated for selection by the Olympic Federation of Ireland remain the same.

They are Susie Berry with Wellfields Lincoln, Sarah Ennis with Action Lady M (ISH) and Austin O’Connor with Colorado Blue. The P Alternate is Aoife Clark with Sportsfield Freelance.

Updating their initial announcement of June 10th, HSI have named Lucy Latta (RCA Patron Saint) and Joseph Murphy (Calmaro) as travelling reserves; they will travel to the HSI Paris camp in Haras de Jardy before the Games.

The following combinations, listed in alphabetical order, have been selected as team alternates: Ian Cassells (Millridge Atlantis), Robbie Kearns (Ballyvillane OBOS), Jennifer Kuehnle (Polly Blue Eyes), Padraig McCarthy (Pomp N Circumstance), Austin O’Connor (Isazsa), Sam Watson (Ballyneety Rocketman).

“Horse Sport Ireland and all parties wish the nominated riders, their support staff, owners, family and friends the very best of luck in the Paris 2024 games,” ended the statement.
