RACEHORSE owner David Eiffe is open to offers for his Lee Valley Training Centre in Ratoath, Co Meath.
Lee Valley is a public gallops and schooling grounds. Among its regular clients is local trainer Dermot McLoughlin, who prepared his two Irish Grand National winners on the facility.
Eiffe is relocating to the US for a few years and says: “This is an exciting opportunity to take on or operate in some capacity a successful business with a large current customer base.” He is seeking expressions of interest in the various elements of the business and facilities, which include a 10-furlong all-weather gallop, all-weather schooling strip and grass gallop.
There are 24 stables in two American barns and the option to add up to 30 additional stables by repurposing existing agricultural buildings.
Up to 100 acres of land is also available if required by interested parties and there is an option to take on either a five-bedroom house (3,800 sq ft) or a one-bed ‘granny flat’ measuring 500 sq ft.
Further details are carried on page 95.
