AS the countdown continues to ‘Turning Cheltenham yellow for Tiggy’ on December 10th, Tiggy’s Trust’s online auction will open on Wednesday, December 1st.

All proceeds of the auction will go to the Trust, which was set up in memory of the late Tiggy Hancock to help with education, training and mental health among young people in the sport.

The Trust will officially launch at Cheltenham next month when the famous racecourse will be enveloped in a sea of yellow, Tiggy’s favourite colour.

The race day will include the Tiggy’s Trust Novices’ Steeple Chase at 12.40pm and a sizeable fundraising effort at the course to which 700 plus guests will attend including Sir Anthony McCoy, eventing Olympic gold medallist, Laura Collett, and former multiple Irish champion jockey Ruby Walsh.

Auction items include a VIP experience for two people at Badminton House Trials; a private tour of Cian O’Connor’s Karlswood Stables with a two night stay at Carton House; a morning with British Olympic dressage legend Carl Hester; a lesson with Olympic event rider Joseph Murphy; Eddie Macken’s green jacket; and a morning with National Hunt trainer Willie Mullins.

Other items up for auction are a two-horse Overlander on a one-year lease, a getaway for four people to the Greek Islands in summer 2022, a two-night stay in Marlfield House, Wexford and a week for four in a Cornish seas side holiday home.
