TATTERSALLS Ireland has announced its continued sponsorship of the Tattersalls Ireland/Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series.

This partnership underscores a mutual dedication to promoting the development and retraining of thoroughbreds, showcasing their potential as successful riding horses.

The Showing Pathway Series 2024, comprising eight qualifiers at which there will be novice and open sections, will commence on Sunday, May 26th, at Midleton, Co Cork and will culminate in the final on Sunday, September 1st, at the Royal Meath Show in Trim. The line-up of shows, which offers a diverse geographical spread, includes the prestigious Tattersalls Ireland July Show (July 27th and 28th).

Commenting on the sponsorship, Tattersalls Ireland CEO Simon Kerins said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Treo Eile for the Showing Pathway Series 2024. Working together for another year, this sponsorship reaffirms our commitment to supporting all aspects of the bloodstock industry.

“In last year’s Showing Series, it was especially rewarding to witness the success of Tattersalls Ireland graduates like Sizing John, who continued to excel, under the dedicated guidance of Kate Harrington, beyond his racing career. We are confident that this series will once again provide an excellent platform for former racehorses to thrive in their new roles as riding horses.”

Caoimhe Doherty, representing Treo Eile, stated: “Treo Eile is thrilled to join hands once again with Tattersalls Ireland for the 2024 Showing Pathway Series. Building upon the success of the 2023 series, we are eager to make this year even more remarkable.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tattersalls Ireland for their unwavering commitment to racehorse aftercare and we eagerly anticipate welcoming both new and returning participants to the shows this year.”

Last year, the novice section at the final was won by the Charlotte Walshe-ridden Kinsau, while the 2022 novice winner, the Philippa Scott-partnered Milliner, graduated to claim the honours in the open section in Trim. Both geldings qualified for the final at the Tattersalls Ireland July Show.
