KERRYGOLD is the new sponsor of the Irish Oaks at the Curragh. The global dairy brand replaces Darley, who sponsored the classic since the 1980s.

Effectively owned by Irish dairy farmers through Ornua, Kerrygold recently celebrated becoming the first ever Irish food brand to exceed €1 billion in annual retail sales globally.

John Jordan, CEO of Ornua, said: “Kerrygold’s sponsorship of the Irish Oaks represents a synergy of rich heritage and dedication to craft. Both born of Ireland’s rich grassland, Irish dairy farming and horse racing share a connection that transcends generations of Irish families and has played a pivotal role in both our successes at home and around the world.”

The Curragh’s CEO Derek McGrath commented: “This is a wonderful opportunity for both Kerrygold and, indeed, us at the Curragh, to bring together two iconic Irish brands to showcase a shared rich history in a contemporary and creative way.”

The Kerrygold Irish Oaks takes place on Saturday, July 20th.
