SHANE Foley has been invited to ride in the International Jockeys Challenge in Saudi Arabia on Friday week, February 19th. “Yeah,” Shane confirmed to The Irish Field, “we have Barbados going for owner Mr Zhang in the Long Distance Turf Handicap on Saturday and between Michael Donohoe (BBA Ireland, agent for Zhang Yuesheng) and Tom Ryan (director of strategy & international Racing at Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia) it all came together.

“If Barbados can reproduce his (Irish) St Leger run then he will be bang there. I’m just hoping the ground is not really firm. He’ll handle nice quick ground but I’ve heard the ground last year was beautiful.
